Meet Trason
My professional background is built on operational safety, security, risk management, and mission-focused leadership developed through military service, aviation operations, and safety management experience.
I began my military career with Marine Corps Security Forces, supporting the protection and security of Department of Defense and National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and assets. I later served as an infantry Marine and surveillance and target acquisitiin with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines, and with STA , gaining experience in operational planning, reconnaissance, threat assessment, and leadership in high-risk environments.
Prior to transitioning into Army aviation, I served as an Observer Controller, evaluating infantry units during training exercises and assessing operational readiness, leadership performance, and mission effectiveness.
I later became a UH-60 Black Hawk pilot and MEDEVAC aviator, accumulating more than 500 combat flight hours, and achieving over 1,000 hrs of incident accident free flight during operational and emergency response missions in Afghanistan, and throughout the world. Throughout my military career, I served in leadership and safety-focused roles requiring analytical decision-making, risk assessment, operational coordination, and safety management in dynamic environments.
As a Safety Officer, I led the redevelopment of aviation safety procedures and operational standards that contributed to an “Exemplary” rating during a FORSCOM Aviation Resource Management Survey (ARMS), the Army’s highest aviation inspection rating.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, a Master’s degree in Recreation Therapy, and I am currently ABD (All But Dissertation) toward completing a Doctorate in Developmental Education Administration.
